Poem: We Are Doing As Best We Can

We Are Doing As Best We Can

are dealing with what is
that cannot be otherwise.
The things that are right
are not enough,
and what is wrong
cannot be made better.
We must do these things,
must take care of what is
that needs to be dealt with.
Maybe there is good to come.
It may be there will be something,
but if not, you know, too, it is best
to do these things now,
to get through them.
It will must be done,
even if not now,
it must be.  Waiting
only takes longer.
