Poem: It Is Gone

It Is Gone

There is no doubt
it is no longer as it was.
What was
is gone.
That is how it is,
that is what
can be said.
But what
if this loss
is too much?
What was true
is not so, any longer,
what was certain,
what was needed
and would be
is gone,
but it is still
what is needed.
It cannot be,
but that has not changes
the necessity.
