Poem: I Do Believe You Care
I Do Believe You Care
or, rather, believe you believe
that you care,
but I do not think you know how,
or maybe you only can love
what you control,
what behaves as you wish,,
does as you desire or think best.
You have told me as much,
have made it clear
that aby wrong you do
must be accepted as fine.
You do not want me to forgive,
you want all your acts
to need no forgiveness,
no matter what you do.
You do everything you can
to make it clear I do not matter:
even when your words are kind,
it is only the words themselves,
never your voice or eyes.
