Poem: The Twist Came Again

The Twist Came Again,

a lurch, a turn, a fast spin
that dropped us,
once more,
left us falling,
not knowing
where we would land,
not certain at all
of much besides
the fact, once more,
of broken trust.
The choices we made,
you have turned them wrong,
you mislead us.
We had other options, once.
The floor here,
where we have fallen
is hard.  I think it is solid,
but I have been wrong.
