Poem: Laziness Poem

Laziness Poem

The drink I want
is far off
in the garage:
I do not want
to go down
and through the house
to that place
unless I am not returning.
It is not so far,
not in truth,
but it is hot
and I fear
if I make that journey
I will be tempted
away from my desk,
from returning.
So, I will say
it is too far,
will imagine
it is easier
to remain parched.
