Poem: All That You Said Was Lies

All That You Said Was Lies

and you think it is okay,
that you could say it all,
could babble on and on,
make all the promises
you want to make,
but not promises to keep,
just to speak them,
as if that is enough,
as if I will never notice
the words in the contract
that do not match at all
what you have said,
that even seem to mock
the idea you might at all
take responsibility
for what comes of your actions.
