Poem: It Is Not The Same Any Longer

It Is Not The Same Any Longer

So much seems impossible now
that once was assured,
things I relied upon,
and now: what am I to want
when I know what I wanted once
is not to be,
is impossible
now.  Things have changed
too much, but
I am still as I was,
am still driven towards
what only existed
in another future
that only shares my past.
