Poem: Between Us

Between Us

It is not good
for things remain
disjointed.  I know:
I too must change,
must learn acceptance,
but it is not enough.
I am afraid
if it is the same,
if there is nothing else.
I do not want this
to be how it is,
to let it remain,
but, will you resist,
are you always
to be so closed?
