Poem: When The Pipe Burst

When The Pipe Burst

My mother's older cousins
blamed me, told me
I was a cause of destruction,
said I was unwelcome
in my parent's home,
where I had grown
from my boyhood,
and my parents said
I should be calm,
not allow it to hurt me,
because they are family,
I should accept them
because it is family.
