Poem: It Was The Beginning

It Was The Beginning

but it felt more like an ending
to what had been before,
or the middle, between what was
and what would be, but
it was the beginning,
there had been nothing
and then, the start
without running jump or on ramp,
came to be from the nothing before it,
or maybe I am wrong,
maybe it came from the end
of what had been before,
whatever it was,
even if it was just nothing,
even if the seeming absence did exist.
