Poem: Up Working Too Late, Again

Up Working Too Late, Again

I said I would stop by now,
but I am close to done,
and I want to finish,
not leave this until tomorrow,
but that will mean
I am not in bed
when I said I would be,
and I can do the work still,
even in the morning,
and perhaps the guilt
I feel not finishing
well get me to start
at an earlier time,
in the way I should,
in the way I know
I really should.
