Poem: Differing Parameters

Differing Parameters

You wish to focus on subtle color
but I am color-blind, prefer
to work by shape, with bold lines,
but you say it must not be that,
must be calmer, quieter,
that it is too much to have
so much action, to have shapes
with strong lines,
but I cannot see
all of what matters to you,
am navigating the world
with different perceptions,
and we must find a way
to see things together
so what we create
will be harmonious
in both our sight.
