Poem: The Cat Always Loved You

The Cat Always Loved You

Each time you come,
I think of the how he would always
be at the door to greet you,
which you did not know
was not his way
with everyone:
there were some
who he would sense coming
and run to hide in my office closet,
but for you, he always came
to the door, and I am saddened
thinking of it, but
glad you, who he loved so,
have come again.
