Poem: It Cannot Be Heard from Here

It Cannot Be Heard from Here

It is happening, but
it is not here,
not now, not yet,
it cannot be seen outside,
or heard down this street,
but it seems
as if it will be here,
as if what began
will not finish
until it is
before all our eyes.
