Poem: Not What You Need to Say

Not What You Need to Say

It does not seem
that what it is
you are saying
is about what
you seem to be
saying it is about,
you are not being honest:
what is it at the root?

You are using whatever
is before you
as the center
because you will not
look towards
the truth
of what is behind
all these things
you believe
you are speaking of.
