Poem: It Is Delicious

It Is Delicious

when boiled, broiled
steamed, fried(deep or pan), smothered,
or stewed, can be served
in sauce or as a sauce,
prepared in savory
or sweet applications,
but do not eat it raw:
there is a madness
born out of tasting it
in such pure form,
the flavor is too much
for any mind.
Even when you cut
the flesh to cook with,
do not lick your fingers,
no, even that is unwise.
