Poem: It Can Be Fixed

It Can Be Fixed

It is not difficult,
it has been done often enough,
has been the approach
whenever important interests
appeared to be threatened.

Do not worry,
but look closer
at what is wanted,
consider the complaints,
decide the core
of the demands,
and then construct a response
with great care
so no one will notice
it does not address
the real issues at all,
make it impossible to notice
it is intended, instead,
to reinforce what has been
and not to alter it at all.
