Poem: It Must Be Chosen Again, Daily

It Must Be Chosen Again, Daily

Must be renewed, the choice taken
once more, though
it may be as hard to say
yes to it all again
some mornings, it must be
a daily choice, not
a thing done once
and accepted forever.
Choose each day, choose it
again, or you will never
discover why
it was you chose
on that first day.  Do not
cease to choose, do not
forget you must continue.
To choose not to continue,
to continue without choosing too,
without renewal each day:
they are the same.
