A Writer's Notebook, Day Two-Hundred-And-Nine

Tomorrow is the anniversary of my Father's death.  It is never an easy time, but I am fortunate to have the support of Melissa, and I really appreciate it.  She has been putting up with me today, and I know that is not easy.  I am going to keep this short, as I am still a bit out of it right now.  I actually wrote a poem today that I am pretty happy about, and which didn't have to do with my Dad's death, so that feels like a win.

I've gotten the ball rolling on some other work, as well, though it is not anything much as of yet, really.  I am feeling a bit down right now, of course, but I know that getting the work done is important, and it would not honor my father at all to use his death as an excuse for derailing what I've accomplished so far.
